Hello, my name is Victoria, Vicky for short. I'm a 20 years old and I'm from England, United Kingdom. I'm currently a care assistant at a nursing home, but I will be attending University College Birmingham in September to study Tourism Business Management, not that this blog has anything to do with any of that!
I've always taken a great (but silent) interest in the ever changing popular and social culture of the westen world. Every decade is every different from the previous and the next, be it fashion, music, technology, politics, even major events and disasters. And every decade these are the things that shape us and influence us. Two people being born just 10 years apart can make a big difference, different times would of experienced different politics and different major events. For example, someone born in 1985 would of experienced 9/11 and the election of Barack Obama as the current generation, while somone born in 1975 would of experienced the Columbine Massacre and Bill Clinton's Lewinsky Scandal as the current generation. These events would of had a massive effect of the political and spiritual beliefs of people. And this is really what this blog is about, who are we today and why?
I hope you'll find this blog interesting and insightful. I do realise I am very young, having only been born in 1989. This blog is purely my opinion, I welcome critisism and if I have made any mistakes please don't hold back in correcting me.
